07 JUL 23: CADD (AIC) CPD event
Nottingham Mechanics Institute, 10am-11.30am
Presentation by Phil Langrishe, Managing Director at Applications in CADD (AIC), covering topics, including where applications in CADD (AIC) came from, its current state and its future, effective use of the code table, and how lidar data is an effective solution for penetrating heavy vegetation. Free event – all welcome. Breakfast refreshments on arrival.
North West & North Wales region CPD event at CICES HQ in Sale. A huge thanks to our speaker Phil Langrishe, MD of AiC ‘Applications in CADD’. The Friday breakfast meeting proved very popular with members.
Members enjoyed a site visit to Newsham Station in May, alongside a presentation of the Northumberland Line project which is re-introducing direct passenger trains between southeast Northumberland and Newcastle.
Thanks go to programme delivery director, Neil Blagburn of AECOM/Northumberland County Council who gave a presentation on the project and its progress, aspects of client care and framework behaviours such as the ‘Collaboration Charter’, as well as Tony Lloyd of Morgan Sindall who did the site tour around ’Palmersville Diary Underpass’ scheme.

Free event – all welcome. Breakfast rolls served on arrival.
Scotland region members, including Samantha Steven and Farhan Iqbal (pictured) took advantage of a St Andrew’s golf evening earlier this month.

Leigh Golf Club, Warrington, 11.30am-late
Organised by the Falcon Golf team, there will be prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin as well as the two trophies, the Mark Fairclough Trophy to the individual winner and the CECA NW Trophy to the winning team. The event is £65 plus VAT with lunch and evening meal provided, plus a goody bag and some refreshments. Bookings to cecagolf@btinternet.com
