Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, 9.30am-4.30pm

Manchester Lecture CPD event. Speakers so far, include Costain Group’s Genna Rourke, Network Rail’s Steve Cooper, Jacobs’s Simon Navin, the Technology and Construction Court’s Mrs Justice O’Farrell DBE, and the current president of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Jane Gunn. 10 NOV 22: Plowman Craven’s Vogel R3D in infrastructure

University of East London USS Campus, London, 6pm-7.30pm

Speaker, Tom Avery, operations manager at Plowman Craven, will give an overview of Plowman Craven’s UAV service, the Vogel R3D. This free talk will include a look at projects completed over the years and showcase the benefits of the system along with the methodologies and QA procedures. Plus, a look into future developments and other uses of UAV in the rail industry.

South West & South Wales region had fun at its ‘Annual Quiz of the Year’ at The Volley in Bristol. Thanks goes to Mark Stevenson as quizmaster, and also thanks to Driver Trett and Hanscomb Intercontinental who generously provided the prizes. All money raised will go to to Cots for Tots.
