Aerial LiDAR Client Guide revised
The Survey Association has recently revised its Aerial LiDAR Client Guide. The guide gives a clear and simple explanation of how a LiDAR system works and the most common purposes for which it is used. It also summarises the accuracies you can expect when commissioning a LiDAR survey and the factors which affect that accuracy.
The revised document includes a new section which highlights recent developments in LiDAR technology including developments in data measurement rates and in multiple pulse returns; improvements in analysis and classification of LiDAR data, and hybrid sensors which combine LiDAR and imaging to broaden the spectrum of products available for the end user.
