CICES I&NI committee members spent a half day at RSPB Belfast's Window on Wildlife. The volunteer work involved clearing and removal of foliage on the lagoon terns. This work is carried out between September and March each year when the nests have been vacated and breeding season is over.

The reserve is home to birds and wildlife from all over the world is vital to the surrounding ecosystem providing a haven for breeding, food sources, wintering and migration.

 

AMERICAS

11 FEB 25: Region Meeting - OnlineEST 7:30 pm; CST 6:30pm and 4:30 pm on the West Coast

The meeting will commence with introductions from the region chair, Simon Braithwaite, vice chair Barry Hiscox and secretary, Neil Fleming. They will introduce themselves, their roles and experience with the institution. It should conclude around EST at 9pm, CST at 8pm, and 6pm on the West Coast.
