The Cambridge Lecture returns with keynote speaker Rt Hon Lee Rowley, MP and minister for housing and planning, as well as speakers Simon Navin, Dalcour Maclaren; Brian Carroll, BAM/ British Antarctic Survey; and Emma Chiaramello, Birketts. Tickets are £45 and places are limited.

12 JUN 24: Building Sustainability and Biodiversity Net Gain into Civil Engineering Surveying
Shipston Business Village, Shipston-on-Stour, 10.30am-3.15pm
Presentation on biodiversity net gain followed by guided tour of Halford Flood Meadow, lunch, and sustainability presentation. There are 20 places available for this first sustainable event. £20 per ticket. The visit will require the participants to walk around 1.5km on a grassland meadow and should wear suitable footwear.

27 JUN 24: CECA NW/CICES NW&W Golf Day
Leigh Golf Club, Wigan, 11.30-late
The CECA NW/CICES NW&W Golf Day returns to Leigh Golf Club. Organised by the Falcon Golf team, there will be prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin as well as the two trophies – The Mark Fairclough Trophy to the individual winner and the CECA NW Trophy to the winning team. Lunch and evening meal are included and a goody bag plus some refreshments. £65+VAT per ticket.

Open to all members this event explores how well-crafted contract clauses can align and incentivise parties to deliver climate outcomes. Mott MacDonald’s Richard Patterson, who was part of the NEC4 drafting team, and Skanska’s Nikolaus Moore will present.
