During a recent trip to Hong Kong, CICES president, Batsetswe Motsumi and CEO Simon Hamlyn had the privilege of sharing ideas with the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Macau to discuss the support that the institution is providing to facilitate the provision of the commercial management diploma course.

Data standards register updated
The Geospatial Commission has updated the UK Geospatial Data Standards Register including information on adopting ISO data product specification. There is now a standardised method to describe a geospatial dataset when publishing geospatial data.

New president for TSA
The Survey Association has announced the election of Claire Fenwick, managing director of Spatial Dimensions, as its new president.
Speaking about the presidency, Claire said: “I am privileged to be TSA president. I firmly believe in the benefits of sharing knowledge and upholding standards, which are key to TSA’s role in the ever-changing world of geomatics. I hope to contribute and have a positive impact with this, helping TSA, other companies and individuals to attain standards set and mark the way for whatever future technology holds for us.”
